The Guru Plan gives PaperGuru users a renewable weekly usage quota across models verified for academic and research workflows.

Research rarely moves in a straight line. A promising question turns into a literature search, then a revised hypothesis, a methodology draft, an analysis script, a reviewer-style critique, and another round of writing. The most demanding projects need sustained model usage across that whole arc, not only an answer to one difficult prompt.
Today, we are introducing the Guru Plan, a PaperGuru subscription that gives you a renewable weekly usage quota across models verified for academic and research workflows. PaperGuru reviews models for literature work, analysis, technical writing, tool use, and the continuity that longer research workflows require.
The verified model set can evolve as that review continues. This lets PaperGuru keep the Guru Plan focused on models that support serious research work without promising permanent access to any particular model.
Models Verified for Research Workflows
PaperGuru evaluates models for the work researchers actually do across a project: synthesizing literature without losing the central question, developing and revising a methodology through several rounds of evidence, moving between analysis and the paper that explains it, and reviewing a draft for consistency among claims, results, notation, and citations.
Verification also considers useful tool use, citation-grounded synthesis, technical writing, productive self-revision, and research continuity over longer sessions. Models can be added to or removed from the shared verified set as PaperGuru continues that work.
Even a verified model remains a research assistant, not a source of authoritative scientific truth. Important claims, analyses, and conclusions require expert human verification before publication or downstream use.
Three Plans for Different Research Rhythms
Compared with using Credits from credit packs, a Guru Plan gives you substantially more usage for research workflows, subject to a weekly usage quota. The Guru Plan is available in three tiers, and every tier uses the same shared set of models verified for academic and research workflows. The difference is the amount of usage and the level of support around it.
Guru 20 is best for focused research projects. It offers up to 2.5 times more usage than credit packs and includes standard technical support.
Guru 100 is built for regular research and writing. It includes six times the usage of Guru 20 and priority technical support.
Guru 200 is designed for intensive research workflows. It includes up to fifteen times the usage of Guru 20 and premium technical support.
All three tiers are available with monthly or annual billing. Annual subscriptions include the same weekly usage behavior while offering a lower effective monthly price. Current pricing and availability are always shown on the Guru Plan page.
A Weekly Quota That Is Easy to Track
Guru Plan usage is tracked separately from your general PaperGuru Credits. In the Credits menu, you can see the percentage of your weekly usage quota that remains and when it will reset. The same information is available on the Guru Plan page and in Status and Billing.
The quota resets on a continuous weekly schedule. Changing from monthly to annual billing does not restart that schedule or grant an extra weekly usage quota. If you upgrade to a higher tier, PaperGuru keeps the usage already recorded for the current week and makes the additional quota available. If you schedule a move to a lower tier, the change takes effect at the next billing cycle without erasing usage already recorded in the current week.
You can also choose what PaperGuru should do when the weekly usage quota runs out:
- Use Credits to continue working with eligible models against your regular balance
- Pause eligible model requests until the next weekly reset
This setting can be changed from the Guru Plan page without interrupting the rest of your subscription management.
Getting Started
Open Profile → Guru Plan, or go directly to the Guru Plan page. Choose Guru 20, Guru 100, or Guru 200, select monthly or annual billing, and complete checkout. Your weekly usage quota will appear in PaperGuru once the subscription is active.
Existing subscribers can manage billing, schedule a plan change, or cancel renewal from the same page. Changes scheduled for the next billing cycle remain visible there, along with the option to undo them before they take effect.
The Guru Plan is available now for sustained research workflows: more room to work through the path from question to manuscript, with clear usage limits and models PaperGuru continues to verify for academic and research workflows.
Try it from the Guru Plan page, and let us know how it supports your longer research projects.
